I wanted to capture the frustration that led to the in-depth research about Medicare and sports injury covered under the plan. One case is narrated to demonstrate the solution he suggested and the reader's frustration in managing the injury. Mainstream media in Missouri picked up the story, and the hundreds of stories like the reader’s became an impetus for passing Senate Bill 51.
