Consulting emerged as a top choice for Oxford MBA graduates, with a significant hiring rate of 31.90%, third highest among peer schools after INSEAD (54%) and LBS (45%), and a median base salary of $128,964, second highest with LBS leading at $164,728.
The Financial sector remains a popular destination for Oxford MBA graduates, with a hiring rate of 26.70%, the second highest after Cambridge’s 30%, and a median base salary of $132,387, again second highest among peer schools behind LBS’ $153,535.
Roles in Investment Banking, Asset Management, and financial advisory services with opportunities in financial analysis, deal making, portfolio management, and strategic advisory roles made up the bulk of the offers at Oxford.
The Global Industry sector, with a hiring rate of 15.50% and a median base salary of $114,704, encompasses a wide range of industries such as Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, and Logistics. These roles offer opportunities for operations management, supply chain optimization, and market expansion strategies.
The Impact sector, with a hiring rate of 20.70% and a median base salary of $88,590, reflects Oxford’s legacy of social entrepreneurship and sustainability. Opportunities in impact investing, social entrepreneurship, and corporate social responsibility offer avenues for making a positive difference in society while pursuing meaningful and purpose-driven careers. The impact sector placements at Oxford is a unique trend among all the T20 MBAs.
While less prominent compared to other industries, the Technology sector still attracts Oxford MBA graduates, with a hiring rate of 5.20%, which is not only the lowest among all the European peer schools but also lowest compared to T20 MBAs where candidates attracted a competitive median base salary of $137,509.
