In the first paragraph, the applicant starts with an interesting event and offers the admission team an insight into his observation skills and interest in understanding the mechanism behind even the mundane behavior.

The second paragraph segues into how detail-orientation have helped him take on roles as a class monitor in school and elected representative in college. The responsibilities in college shed light into the exposure the applicant had as a student in managing the anxieties of students, coordinating with recruiters and appreciating the sacrifices non-profits make in changing societies.

With insight on what leadership meant for the applicant and how it has led him to new experiences, the applicant transition to the core of what he has to offer in the fourth paragraph.

The fifth paragraph details out the challenges he had to overcome to implement a billion-dollar project.

The sixth and final paragraph captures how the applicant will contribute in and out of class. Instead of citing too many clubs and extra-curricular experiences, the strategy here is to ‘show and tell.’

By highlighting the applicant’s journey as a leader and a technologist who understands govt., private companies, and public interest, the applicant is uniquely positioning himself for success in ISB PGP class.
