The sixth example is narrated from the perspective of single parenthood. With a limited network as an immigrant parent from India, the applicant's mother found New York public library as a shelter from the dangers lurking in the city. The reading habits that the applicant developed expanded his interest in Science fiction, philosophy, technology, Finance, and politics. The obsessiveness to read limited the physical exercise that the applicant could get every week, leading to a respiratory condition.

Witnessing declining health in her kid, the Mother enrolls the applicant and his brother to the public swimming pool that became the meeting ground for brainstorming entrepreneurial ideas. One of the ideas - a networking platform for New York City schools, took off unexpectedly in a market where there was no dearth of social media platforms.

The journey of keeping the service running, scaling, and eventually finding a buyer, and passing on the lessons of Entrepreneurship to entrepreneurs from single-parent households is the core of the narrative.
