Tuck MBA Essay: Describe a time you meaningfully contributed to someone else’s sense of inclusion in your professional or personal community. (290 words)

Background Information: A leading YouTube creator in the ‘editing for educational video’ niche narrates a peer’s bout with depression after he faced a stagnation in viewership. Theme: Inclusion

Profile: YouTube Creator

Industry: Media

MBA Essay Strategy: I wanted to set the stage on the winner-take-all tweaking that video algorithms have embraced, where the frequency of publishing overtakes all other factors.

As the #1 creator of the Editing for the Educational video niche, the applicant noticed one of his competitors who was producing fewer but more in-depth videos. The journey of building an audience for the competitor reinforces the branding that the applicant has an abundance mindset.

Through multiple and timely collaborations, the applicant could help the creator feel included in the content creator community. The experience also makes the applicant realize the vital role communities play in overcoming imposter syndrome.
