a) Focus on Leadership

Harvard Business School values leaders, and the essay is one place where you can mention your leadership style. With just one essay, applicants have to be extremely choosy and pick the story that truly represents their leadership style. Leadership styles can be broadly classified into Autocratic, Democratic and Delegative. We have elements of each style in us that will come across in several contexts - work, extracurricular, school or other entrepreneurial activities. But the important thing to focus in HBS essay is to explain how you exercised your leadership skills.
