Based on your understanding of the Fuqua culture, how do you see yourself engaging in and contributing to our community outside of the classroom? (300 Words Maximum)

The applicant starts the narrative with a confession that most of the unresolved interpersonal conflicts in the non-profit’s developmental work were from misaligned compensation of their volunteers. Mimicking the practices of corporate America, he began integrating a performance-based compensation that improved the engagement of the volunteers for two months but soon shifted to high attrition rate. 


While reviewing the failure, he came across his friend’s interesting payment terms with her publisher. Inspired by the idea, the applicant implements a micropayment model for the volunteers and began to see the immediate impact. The model is adapted for the beneficiaries with equally impressive results.

The applicant is eager to bring his innovative incentivizing scheme to the communities in Durham and rural America to support families affected by the pandemic and the technological disruption of the last 10 years.
