In this fictitious narrative, the applicant starts the narrative from her childhood when she fled the socialist country to escape persecution and find opportunities, not orchestrated by a select few at the top of the hierarchy but by a vibrant market.
The narrative then transitions to the funding of a new port that is a joint venture between the government of K and Y – a private powerhouse in modern infrastructure development. An eventful incident in the stock market triggers a chain of events that eventually leads Y to bail out of the project.
Uncharacteristically, the government aggressively pursues the head of the projects from the private company. The quick pivot to attract the right talent saved taxpayer’s money and thousands of livelihoods.
The perspective of a govt. that is not exploitive was different, and the applicant advocates for greater involvement of the government in infrastructure projects by incentivizing the right engineering and management talents.
