In this fictitious narrative, the applicant cites his experience in serving the flood-affected town of X. Meeting a child who lost both her parents is a pivotal moment of confrontation that forced him to advocate for a belief that gave the child relief from the sudden sorrow that engulfed her life.
The second half of the essay is a reflection on ‘seeing the good’ in groups/people with a completely different belief system. By advocating for a different perspective than his own, the non-profit and the applicant could find a reliable support network in the town to carry out the relief effort.

The floods of 2019 had devastated the small town of X. The anger against the government’s ineffectiveness had boiled into distrust against any aid work.
