In November 2025, Yale School of Management (SOM) will host a total of 17 events, including 13 virtual events and 4 in-person events. These sessions are designed to help prospective students engage with the Yale SOM community, explore its MBA offerings, and gain guidance on the admissions process through both online and on-campus opportunities.
Virtual Events
The virtual events begin with the MBA Spotlight Fair on 12 November, a two-day global event featuring over 30 top business schools, live panels, and Q&A sessions. On the same day, applicants can attend Silver Scholars Admissions Q&A and Inside the Community: Women in Management to learn about Yale’s early-career program and hear from women students about their experiences.
Other interactive sessions throughout the month include multiple Admissions Q&A events on 13, 18, and 25 November, allowing participants to directly engage with admissions officers. The Consortium Application Workshop on 17 November offers tailored insights for Consortium applicants, while Service to SOM: MBA Insights for Military Candidates on 18 November focuses on veterans exploring business education.
Additional virtual highlights include Inside the Community: LGBTQ+ Students on 13 November, The MBA Connection: Application Tips on 19 November, Student Conversations on the same day for candid discussions with current students, and Office Hours with Bruce DelMonico on 20 November, where attendees can speak directly with the Assistant Dean for Admissions. The month concludes with Inside the Application, Literally on 21 November, led by Assistant Dean Laurel Grodman, offering an in-depth breakdown of Yale’s MBA application components.

It is easy to comment, but it is tough to structure the essay from the perspective of the applicant and turn the essay into a winning application essay.
3) Aligning with the Culture of the School
A big part of editing and guiding applicants is in educating them about the culture of the school
Some schools have very ‘specific’ traits that they are looking for in an applicant.
If you don’t highlight them and lean towards general leadership or cultural narratives, the essay won’t work.

The in-person events begin with Insight into Deferred Enrollment MBA Programs held in Los Angeles on 12 November and Berkeley on 13 November, where representatives from top business schools, including Yale SOM, will discuss early admission options and career planning for deferred candidates. On 13 November, The MBA Connection: Houston provides prospective students the chance to meet admissions representatives from multiple top schools, including Yale, for insights and networking. The month’s in-person programming concludes with the Yale School of Management Campus Visit on 17 November, offering participants a guided tour of Evans Hall and the opportunity to connect directly with the admissions team on campus.
