The Economist MBA Ranking 2010/11 - True Champions

The Economist MBA RankingThe Economist ranking 2010-11 for Full-time MBA Program has been released(Read the latest Economist MBA Ranking details). The ranking was based on evaluating 132 leading business schools around the world. Ranking Criteria include Diversity of recruiters, Value of Career Services, Jobs found through Career Service, Student Assessment, Quality of Faculty and Students, Student Diversity, Education Experience, Increase in Salary, Post-MBA Salary, Alumni Network, International reach of Alumni and Alumni Effectiveness. The survey happened in two stages, which required the inputs from Business Schools and Current Students/Alumni. 18,712 students and graduates participated in the survey. By taking a weighted average of 2010 (50%), 2009 (30%) and 2008 (20%), a well rounded picture about the quality of the school was created.

Chicago Booth has topped the charts, advancing over the likes of IMD, Haas and Wharton. The ranking saw dramatic ups and downs as the Career data for 2009(Job markets in 2009 was weak) were used to create the ranking. Some people consider 'The Economist' MBA ranking as a testimonial of truly resilient Business Schools; schools that have done an excellent job in finding the right jobs for their MBA candidates.
