Preparing for Harvard MBA Admission Decision

Hey there!

As Interview invites for Harvard MBA Round 1 MBA Applications are released, I get quite a number of anxious emails about the probability of an invite on the next two decision dates.

I do what the Nurse did to me on Nov 7th, 2015.  A viper gave me the lightest of fangs. In the Intensive Care Unit, just before the test dose for the anti-venom, she gave me all the worst case scenarios: anaphylactic shock, temporary kidney failure and dialysis, or permanent damage to the kidneys, but she concluded by saying that the probability of something worse happening is low. That one statement along with all the worst-case scenarios gave me a strange peace of mind. She knew that 'death' was the default thought in my mind.

Same is with many of you readers - getting rejected by Harvard is like death for you.

Start with the worst - REJECTION, then work backward - waitlisted, or called for an interview. Now prepare for each scenario.

REJECTION
Which is my second and third school in the list?
For Round 2 applicants - how can I avoid the mistakes that I made in the Harvard MBA Essay.

Waitlisted
What are the reasons for my waitlist?
What Communication Strategy should I follow?
How can I improve my profile to justify a communication?
Which is my second and third school in the list?
When will be the final decisions?

Called for an Interview
How should I prepare for an Interview?
Should I visit the campus or use the hub cities? Are there any advantages for each?

Getting rejected by Harvard is not like death. When you are closer to death, none of the realities of our current consciousness matters. Only the yearning for that one 'happy' moment or 'person' will remain.

For those who have been invited for Interviews, our MBA Admission Interview Guide will be perfect for you.

For those who have yet to get the invites, good Luck for the next decision dates.
