Tuition Fees (NYU Stern MBA)
The tuition and orientation Fees of the NYU Stern MBA program are $82,326 and $1,678, respectively. Also, these fees do not include the other living and boarding expenses. The Orientation fees must be paid only in the first year.
Total Cost (NYU Stern MBA) (1 Year)
The total one-year cost of NYU Stern’s full-time MBA Program is $123,253. This cost includes tuition ($82,326), orientation fee ($1,678), Room and Board ($28,242), Books and Supplies ($1,500), Transportation ($1,154), Miscellaneous ($8,137), and Loan Fees ($216).
If the student is not availing of the loan, then no loan fees will be charged to them. Hence, in that case, the total cost for a student would be $123,037. Insurance is included in the miscellaneous expenses section below.

NYU Stern MBA Cost Mitigation- Financial Aid
Merit-based scholarships are awarded to approximately 20-25% of admitted full-time two-year MBA students. Most Stern MBA scholarships cover the entire or a portion of the tuition. All applicants (domestic and international) are considered for the scholarship. There are no additional materials required.
Scholarships are decided at the time of the admissions process and are final. Scholarship award amounts and types may vary from year to year. In addition to Stern Scholarships, NYU Stern has one of the most comprehensive scholarship databases, where students can learn more about receiving aid from outside sources.
The following Stern merit-based scholarships are available to full-time two-year MBA students:
Dean’s Scholarship: One of Stern's most prestigious awards is the Dean's Scholarship, given to a select group of our most deserving students. This scholarship covers full tuition and fees. It is given in memory of Dean Rangarajan "Raghu" Sundaram and provides the opportunity to meet Dean Sundaram directly.
Named Faculty Scholarship: The Named Faculty Scholarship is intended to connect deserving students with some of Stern's most distinguished and prestigious faculty members. This scholarship matches admitted students with a full tuition fee and the additional privilege of collaborating with select faculty members based on their backgrounds and interests. Named faculty scholars can form close relationships with their assigned faculty members. Viral Acharya, Robert Salomon, Adam Brandenburger, Dolly Chugh, Elizabeth Morrison, Aswath Damodaran, Kathleen DeRose, J.P. Eggers, Sonia Marciano, Anindya Ghose, Richard Hendler, Peter Henry, Alvin Lieberman, Glenn Okun, Anjolein Schmeits, Robert Seamans, and Tenise Whelan were among the 17 faculty members honored this year.
Consortium Fellowship: The fellowship covers full tuition and fees and is offered in collaboration with a partner organization. The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management aims to increase African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans' representation in business education and management. Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens and permanent residents from these underrepresented groups and others who can showcase a commitment to the Consortium's mission. To be considered for this full-tuition fellowship, applicants must apply to NYU Stern through the Consortium application.
Leadership Accelerator Scholarship: This merit-based scholarship is only awarded to applicants with high leadership potential throughout their application. According to the Leadership Accelerator's philosophy, leadership development necessitates students repeatedly stepping outside their comfort zone, taking risks, failing, and learning from these experiences through skillful reflection.
Fertitta Veterans Scholarship: This scholarship Program is a unique program designed specifically for US military veterans and active-duty students to help them transition to business school. Military students accepted into the Fertitta Veterans MBA Program are eligible for the Fertitta Veterans Scholarship, which is a partial scholarship, through the generous gift of alumnus Lorenzo (MBA '93) and brother Frank Fertitta. Students who are eligible for veterans' benefits, including Yellow Ribbon funding, will also be considered.
William R. Berkley Scholarship: The William R. Berkley Scholarship Program, established in 2013, assists Outstanding college seniors or recent graduates who would like to pursue their MBA full-time at NYU Stern. This scholarship is open to candidates pursuing the two-year Full-time MBA, Fashion & Luxury MBA, or Andre Koo Tech MBA. The scholarship includes mandatory fees, full tuition, and a stipend for housing and educational expenses.
Advancing Women in Business Scholarship: The NYU Stern Advancing Women in Business Scholarship, established in 2017, is a merit-based scholarship given to students entering the Two Year Full-time MBA program who shows persistent dedication to the advancement of women in business. This scholarship includes the full tuition and mandatory fees for the two-year full-time MBA program. Alumni and members of the Stern Executive Board contribute to the award's funding.
Forté Fellowship: The Forté Foundation is an alliance of major corporations, top business schools, and influential non-profit organizations committed to educating and advancing women in business. Stern names Forté Fellows during the admissions process to exceptional candidates who have already been chosen for a merit-based scholarship and are committed to promoting gender equity in business.
ROMBA Fellowship: Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) is a non-profit organization that educates, inspires, and connects LGBTQ+ MBA students at US business schools. Stern provides ROMBA Fellowship to exceptional candidates who have already been chosen for a merit-based scholarship. They also must demonstrate an interest or commitment to opportunities for LGTBQ+ leaders in the business.
Elizabeth Elting Advancing Women's Leadership Fellowship: Each year, two two-year Full-time MBA students and two one-year Andre Koo Tech MBA students receive the Elizabeth Elting Advancing Women's Leadership Fellowship. The Fellowship provides $50,000 per academic year for the two-year Full-time MBA program and $50,000 for the one-year Andre Koo Tech MBA program. Recipients of this award have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, an impressive record of leadership experience, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to advancing women in business. Exceptional candidates are named Elizabeth Elting Fellows by Stern at the time of admission.
Directors Scholarship: This $50,000 scholarship is for the first year of study and is given to admitted students who demonstrate exceptional merit.
Community Scholarship: This $25,000 scholarship is for the first year of study and is given to admitted students who demonstrate exceptional merit.
Scholarships Awarded after Admission
Scholarships for admitted Full-time MBA students that do not require a separate application are listed below.
• Howard Gilman Foundation Scholarship: The Howard Gilman Foundation Scholarship will be awarded to graduate students who have worked in the performing arts and want to pursue a career in business through the generous support of the Howard Gilman Foundation. The Financial Aid office will select students; no separate application is required.
• Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motors America Scholarships in Law & Business: JD/MBA Dual Degree students will be eligible for the Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motors America Scholarships in Law & Business if they are pursuing careers in law and business through the generous support of Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motors America. During their final year, Hyundai and Kia Scholars must enroll in the Law & Business Projects Seminar to receive the substantial writing credit required for the law degree. There are merit and need-based scholarships, and no separate application is required.
Scholarships Awarded after Admission by Application
The scholarships listed below are for incoming Full-time MBA students and require a separate application. As information about the application process for these scholarships becomes available, admitted students are notified, typically during their first semester.

Donor Awards for Second-Year Students
Second Year students in the MBA program have another opportunity to receive funding through the generous support of NYU Stern alumni and friends. All students are taken into consideration for second-year awards based on merit and the donor's criteria. There is no need to apply.

Teaching and Graduate Fellowships
Teaching Fellow (TF) or Graduate Fellow (GF) roles are available through Stern departments. Candidates can earn up to $21,600 in discounts on tuition for the entire program. These positions allow students to contribute to the School and their classmates' experiences. Every year, Stern MBA students fill hundreds of TF and GF positions.
Teaching Fellowship and Graduate Fellowship positions include the following:

To be qualified for a Teaching Fellowship or Graduate Fellowship, students must have completed at least nine credits at Stern and be in good academic standing (GPA of at least 3.0).
NYU Stern MBA Loans Program
Domestic Students – Federal and Private Loans
Federal loans are for US citizens and permanent residents. They have the option of applying for private loans as well.
Federal Loans
The United States Department of Education offers federal unsubsidized and Graduate PLUS loans.
Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for a federal unsubsidized or Graduate PLUS loan. Applicants are motivated to give their FAFSA as soon as possible and no later than May of the calendar year they intend to begin school. The FAFSA information determines students’ eligibility for the following benefits:
Unsubsidized Loan
Students can borrow up to $10,250 per semester through Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans. This loan has a fixed interest rate of 6.54 and a loan origination fee of 1.057%, which is applied at the time of disbursement.
Graduate PLUS Loans
Domestic students are eligible for the Graduate PLUS loan to help cover the full cost of attendance in addition to the federal Direct Unsubsidized loan. This loan has a fixed interest rate of 7.54% and a loan origination fee of 4.228%, which is applied at the time of disbursement.
Private Loans
Private loans may be available to US citizens and permanent residents. The Stern Graduate Financial Aid website contains a comprehensive list of current lenders commonly used by Stern students.
International Students- Private Loans
International students may be eligible for private student loans with or without a cosigner from the United States. Students can visit the Stern Graduate Financial Aid website for more information on possible student loan opportunities.

NYU Stern Loan Assistance Program
NYU Stern has established a Loan Assistance Program with the help of its Social Enterprise Association MBA club. The objective of the Program is to decrease the financial burden of repaying business school loans for graduates who want to work in social enterprises that offer lower pay than traditional MBA programs.
The Loan Assistance Program helps the school achieve its mission of developing leaders who add value to business and society.
