Essays: You have to complete a 750 word essay that answers one of the following topics

1) In Fast Company magazine, Business leadership guru Warren Bennis famously stated, “Managers are people who do things right and leaders are people who do the right thing”. It is argued this distinction was accurate but potentially dangerous because it could distort how some bosses--at all levels—may view and do their work. It could encourage bosses to see generating big and vague ideas as the important part of their jobs--and to treat implementation, or details of any kind, as mere “management work” best done by “the little people.” Discuss the Bennis statement. What will you do (what will you keep from doing?) to keep from being a ‘big picture only’ manager?

2) What do you see as the value of the MBA degree? Why pursue it? Where is it going to take you? How will you complement your MBA degree to enhance its value to maximize career outcome?

Remember: DO NOT include your name in the essay. You will be immediately disqualified
