Vanderbilt MBA Salary By Industry & Function (2022)

Vanderbilt follows the trend of US Business Schools with Consulting, Financial Service, and Technology among the top 3 industries. The big difference is in the functions. Marketing was the third popular among post-MBA functions, with equal representation seen in General Management and Operations Management. Business Analytics/Data Analytics, chosen by 5% of the class, is also a unique post-MBA function trend for a top 30 US School.

Consulting (34%), Financial Services (20%), and Technology (17%) are the top three industries for the Vanderbilt MBA industry. The consulting industry pays the highest median base salary at $165,000, followed by the Finance industry with $160,000. Healthcare and Consumer Products – the last two among the top 5 industries, had 13% and 9% hiring, respectively.

Vanderbilt Full-time MBA Salary by Function (2022)

With a median base pay of $135,000, the average MBA base salary rose 12% to $139,711 in 2022. The signing/starting bonuses for the Class of 2022 likewise saw a considerable boost, with the average bonus rising by 24% to $34,262 and the median to $30,000.

Consulting, with a 34% hired percentage, remained the top function at Vanderbilt, with the highest median base salary of $165,000. Finance, with a 21% hiring rate and a $160,000 median base salary, followed the Consulting Function. With a 15% hired percentage, marketing managed to secure third place in the list of top functions.

General Management, Operations Management, and Business/Data Analytics are other top functions.

Vanderbilt Full-time MBA Salary by Region (2022)

Only 1% of the total hired MBA grads are placed internationally, i.e., in Asia. Of the 99% of graduates placed in North America, 42% are hired in the South. 26% are placed in Nashville Metro, 16% in the West, and 17% in the Northeast. The highest salary of $175,000 was offered by the Mid-Atlantic region despite only a 3% hire rate.

Vanderbilt Full-time MBA - Top Employers

Technology firm Amazon led the top employer's list despite being the only technology firm on the top list. Top consulting firms - EY, PwC, Deloitte, and BCG, were among the employers with the most hiring rate. The brokerage firm BofA Securities and Investment Banking firm Jefferies Group LLC contributed to the top list as part of the Financial Services Industry.

Vanderbilt Full-time MBA - Career Service Team's Effectiveness

School-facilitated internships (50% of all the internships) were the source of most job opportunities, followed by Job Postings in the school's network (13%). Graduate-facilitated activities accounted for 17% of all opportunities.
