In July 2024, Yale SOM has planned a total of 28 events designed to engage and inform prospective MBA students. These events are divided into three main categories: virtual events, in-person events, and summer socials.
July 24: There are 12 Virtual events and 16 in-person events.
What are Yale’s Virtual Events?
Yale's virtual events offer a comprehensive platform for prospective students to connect with admissions representatives. Six Admissions Q&A sessions are scheduled throughout the month (July 2, 9, 16, 18, 25, and 30), where participants can ask questions directly to the Yale Admissions Committee.
On July 10, the "Inside the Application, literally" session will provide an overview of the Yale MBA program and offer tips for the 2024-25 application essay, led by the Assistant Dean for Admissions.
Bruce DelMonico, the Yale Admissions Officer, will host "Office Hours" on July 11 and 23 to give an overview of the program, the admissions process, and student life.
Additionally, on July 11, "The MBA Connection: Application Tips" will feature admission officers from top business schools sharing application and essay crafting tips.
For those interested in gaining insights from current students, the "Student Conversations" session on July 24 will be particularly valuable.
Event for Yale Silver Scholars/Deferred MBA
Finally, the "Silver Scholars Admissions Q&A" on July 31 is tailored specifically for Silver Scholars candidates.
Additionally, there are specific events focused on deferred enrollment MBA programs in Boston (July 15), NYC (July 16), and San Francisco (July 25). Yale SOM also offers campus visits on July 19 and 26, where participants can tour the campus and interact with admissions officers.
MBA Tours – Meet Yale MBA representatives in your City
In-person events offer a unique opportunity to engage face-to-face with admissions representatives from top MBA programs. The MBA Tour will take place in multiple cities: San Francisco (July 13), Los Angeles (July 14), Washington DC (July 20), Boston (July 25), New York City (July 27), and Chicago (July 30). These events provide a platform for prospective students to connect with representatives and learn more about various MBA programs.
Yale Summer Socials
Summer Socials are informal gatherings hosted by current Yale SOM students, allowing prospective applicants to experience the community and culture of the program in a relaxed setting. These events will be held in Hyderabad (July 14), Washington DC (July 14), Bangalore (July 17), Vancouver (July 18), and Seattle (July 25).
