Stanford MBA Events - August 2025

In August 2025, Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) will host a total of 27 MBA events, including 8 virtual events and 19 in-person events.

Virtual Events

The virtual events begin with an MBA Information Session on 7 August, where a Stanford admissions officer will provide insights into the MBA program, application process, and financial aid.

On 9 August, the Meet an MBA Alum session offers prospective applicants the chance to hear directly from GSB alumni about their MBA journey and application experience.

Stanford's Application Week 2025 series features three insightful virtual workshops: Funding Your GSB Experience on 11 August, Application State of Mind – Retrospective on 12 August, Introspective on 13 August, and Prospective on *14 August, focusing on financing, storytelling, and goal setting for applications.

On 19 August, the Women in Business webinar showcases alumnae and current students discussing their experiences, and on 21 August, the GSB Experience: International Students and Alumni session highlights the international community at Stanford, featuring a live Q&A.

The skills that a writer/editor brings to the table are different from what a former admissions officer or a consultant who has limited writing skills brings

As F1GMAT’s Lead Consultant and Essay Specialist, I will help you structure the essay by:

1)  Incorporating your Personal Brand

I will help you find unique life experiences that would differentiate you from the highly competitive Stanford application pool.

2)  Including Storytelling elements

I have developed a keen sense of storytelling from over a decade and a half of editing essays and writing essay examples for F1GMAT’s Essay Guides.

It is easy to comment, but it is tough to structure the essay from the perspective of the applicant and turn the essay into a winning application essay.

3) Aligning with the Culture of the School

A big part of editing and guiding applicants is in educating them about the culture of the school

Some schools have very ‘specific’ traits that they are looking for in an applicant.

If you don’t highlight them and lean towards general leadership or cultural narratives, the essay won’t work.

I will guide you through the writing process.

I will also iteratively edit the essays without losing your original voice.

In-Person Events

The in-person events kick off with an On-campus MBA/MSx Information Session and Application Workshop at Stanford on 2 August, offering application guidance for those planning to apply in the next one to two years.

A series of MBA/MSx Information Sessions take place across global cities, including Mexico City on 4 August, Bogotá on 7 August, Buenos Aires on 11 August, São Paulo on 12 August, Tokyo on 18 and 19 August, Seoul on 21 and 22 August, Singapore on 25 and 26 August, and New York on 28 August.

These sessions provide overviews of the MBA and MSx programs, along with alumni panels and Q&A.

Additionally, special women-focused sessions will be held in Mexico City (5 August), São Paulo (13 August), Seoul (22 August), and Singapore  (26 August).
