GMAT 740+

Advise me to jump my GMAT Score 670 to 750.Hi guys last 6 months I am regularly preparing for GMAT. But I am not able to improve my GMAT score. I did MBA Prep test where I scored 670 in both the tests.

I took Manhattan in that I Scored 640,650,710,630 and 670. Kaplan I took in that I got only 620. Last night I took Princeton in that I Scored 670 again. I do most of time very common errors in quant. Last night. I was expecting full marks in math but I couldn’t. One question was very simple and my answer was one and in the option one was third option was but marked option 1. And I know the answers of all of them but regularly doing very silly errors. I finished quant 7 min before. Is this the reason to score lower how we can manage the time to reach exact?

What I am finding that how can I improve on time management?

In verbal SC Is my strongest part and most of the time I can easily find out the wrong choices easily but CR is difficult for me and not able to eliminate the wrong choices. RC is troubling me a lot always can advise which one is the good book in RC and what the technique for RC. I am preparing my own and join any classes after reading all the achievers views that joining classes is wastage of time. I had made my plan so far according Future Propel GMAT run by manish Vijay act wise time table and I adopted that.

I did IMS math for cat which is very good and M tyra book, which is very good to learn short cuts. Probability question form TIME book And rest math and verbal I did form OG. So far I finished Kaplan, Manhattan, OG verbal and quant review, Nova and Princeton.

I solved jamboree as well. I am working on LSAT for RC. In SC I have done Manhattan and 1000 series. I did CR bible as well. But still not able to improve my score can anyone advise me that how can I reach to 750. Is there any seminars conducted by people those who have score 750 and above in GMAT.

Advice from F1GMAT

"Hi guys last 6 months I am regularly preparing for GMAT"

6 months is too long to prepare for your GMAT exam. Keep a 3 month schedule and start preparing for your exam

"I did MBA Prep test where I scored 670 in both the tests. I took Manhattan in that I Scored 640,650,710,630 and 670. Kaplan I took in that I got only 620. Last night I took Princeton in that I Scored 670 again"

Your score seems to be in the 650-670 range. Ignore Kaplan . Do Kaplan at the initial stage of the preparation.

"I do most of time very common errors in Quant. Last night. I was expecting full marks in math but I couldn’t. One question was very simple and my answer was one and in the option one was third option was but marked option 1. And I know the answers of all of them but regularly doing very silly errors. Can someone advise me for the same?"

Classify your errors into :

1) Silly Errors
2) Lack of Fundamentals
3) More Practice

Keep a log of your errors, improve your error-correct answer ratio before focusing on timing. It seems that you are in a hurry to crack 750. Take the whole preparation a little easy. And if you can finish the Quant correctly before the alloted time, then it is great. But it is more about accuracy and timing rather than just timing.

I don't want to discourage you but try to understand why you want to score 750+
Which business Schools are you targeting?

You are trying to use too many resources for your GMAT Prep.  Take a 2 week break. Go for a vacation. Come back and use the following books

1) Download GMAT Test Prep Software from mba.com

2) Try one diagnostic test. Decide which 1. The questions will be repeated if you try it again.

3) List your errors under 3 categories:

    * Silly Errors

    * Lack of Fundamentals

    * More Practice

4) Work on your fundamentals. Refer Manhattan GMAT for SC, RC and CR

5) OG and Kaplan Comprehensive for Quant.

6) Test prep Software from MBA.com comes pretty close to the real test.

Note: Use the latest official GMAT Guide.

Fix a date for your test. Preferably in another 2 months. Best of Luck Rahul!
