Ford Global MBA Scholarships - Amount, Criteria and Countries

The Ford Global Fellowship, established in 2020, with a $50-million investment spanning 10 years, plans to support master level fellows who can devise solutions that support the mission to eradicate inequality from different strata of the society.

In 2021, the inaugural cohort's fellowship was extended by an additional two years, giving them sufficient time to dive deeper into complex projects. The program has planned to add 48 new fellows (from any Master-level program), doubling the initially planned number for the sophomore year. The fellowship community grew to 72 active fellows in 2022 Over the next decade, the fellowship aims to build a formidable network of 240 fellows from across the globe.

Countries – Accepted Candidates

The fellowship only accepts students from the United States, Brazil, the Andean Region, Mexico and Central America, West Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa, Indonesia, the Middle East and North Africa, and China. However, fellows from India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Number of Awards: 240 Fellows (over ten years)

Criteria
● Candidate must be working towards eradicating inequality globally.
● Candidates with commitment and curiosity to explore functions outside their areas of expertise
● Candidates must have several leadership traits and operate morally and ethically.
● Candidate must pose both excellent track record as well as need for the fellowships for funding resources
● Candidates should be ready to move away from their home country and leave a visible impact globally
