In August 2025, the Darden School of Business will host a total of 17 events, comprising 12 virtual sessions and 5 in-person engagements.
Virtual Events
Virtual events include multiple Full-Time MBA Overview sessions on August 12, 15, and 21, introducing prospective students to the program with a brief Q&A.
Specialized webinars include All About the Application: Re-applicants on August 13 for 2025 cycle reapplicants, and Full-Time MBA Ask Us Anything on August 19 and 21, offering an open Q&A with the Admissions Committee.
On August 22, four regional Full-Time MBA Application Launch webinars will cater to Europe/Middle East/Africa, India/South Asia, East/Southeast Asia, and Latin America/Canada.
The month also features the Early Action Application Hotline on August 29 for last-minute application queries, and a Virtual Chat with Graduate Women in Business (GWIB) on the same day for applicants interested in women’s leadership at Darden.

It is easy to comment, but it is tough to structure the essay from the perspective of the applicant and turn the essay into a winning application essay.
3) Aligning with the Culture of the School
A big part of editing and guiding applicants is in educating them about the culture of the school
Some schools have very ‘specific’ traits that they are looking for in an applicant.
If you don’t highlight them and lean towards general leadership or cultural narratives, the essay won’t work.

Essay 1: Community of Belonging: What would you want your classmates to know about you that is not on your resume? (100 words)
Essay 2: Inclusive Impact: Please describe a tangible example that illuminates your experience promoting an inclusive environment and what you would bring to creating a welcoming, global community at Darden. (300 words)
Essay 3: Careers With Purpose: At this time how would you describe your short-term, post-MBA goal in terms of industry, function, geography, company size and/or mission and how does it align with the long-term vision you have for your career? (200 words)
On August 15 and 29, Friday Chat and Tour sessions at the Darden campus offer small-group discussions and guided tours.
Coffee chats will be hosted in Shanghai on August 16 and in Beijing on August 22, providing informal opportunities to learn about Darden’s experiential learning approach, close-knit community, and global network.
