Wharton MBA Events - November 2024

In November 2024, the Wharton MBA program will host a total of 19 events, including 12 virtual and 7 in-person sessions.

Campus Visits

Key events include the recurring Campus Visit Program on November 4, 14, 18, 21, and 22, allowing prospective students to experience a real Wharton class, meet current students, and get a feel for the Wharton community firsthand.

In-person options also include an On-Campus Visit Day for active military and veterans on November 7, as well as a full-day exploration event on November 15, which includes discussions led by student clubs such as the Wharton African American MBA Association and the Caribbean Business Club.

Founding Consultant - F1GMAT, Author, EditorEssay Editing - Work with Atul Jose (Founding Consultant and Essay Specialist)

With the word limit typically in the 250 to 500 range, it is not easy to structure the essay without losing momentum.

As F1GMAT’s Lead Consultant and Essay Specialist, I will help you structure the scholarship essay by:

1)  Personal Branding

I will help you find unique life experiences that would differentiate you from the highly competitive M7 and T15 application pool.

2)  Storytelling

I have developed a keen sense of storytelling from over a decade and a half of editing essays and writing essay examples for F1GMAT’s Essay Guides.

The skills that a writer/editor brings to the table are different from what a former admissions officer or a consultant who has limited writing skills brings

Review Skills # Writing Skills
Movie Critics # Movie Directors

It is easy to comment, but it is tough to structure the essay from the perspective of the applicant and turn the essay into a winning application essay.

3) Aligning with the Culture of the School

A big part of editing and guiding applicants is in educating them about the culture of the school

Some schools have very ‘specific’ traits that they are looking for in an applicant.

If you don’t highlight them and lean towards general leadership or cultural narratives, the essay won’t work.

I will guide you through the writing process.

I will also iteratively edit the essays without losing your original voice.

Virtual Events

On the virtual side, Wharton offers multiple specialized sessions, including the Lauder Virtual Info Session on November 5 and 19, where participants learn about the Lauder Institute’s MA in International Studies and joint degree options.

Prospective students can also join a Virtual Visit Day for first-generation students on November 8 or for veterans on November 11, both featuring talks with Wharton student groups.

Additional highlights include sessions like the GMAT Club’s MBA Spotlight Fair on November 13 and 14, where admissions reps from Wharton and other top schools discuss MBA pathways. There are also industry-focused webinars, such as Top Business Schools Discuss: Women in Business on November 19, providing insights into the MBA experience for women across top institutions.
