The Wharton MBA program has an eventful August 2024, with a total of 35 events. Out of these, 24 are virtual and 11 are in-person.
Virtual Info Sessions
The month kicks off with several Lauder Virtual Info Sessions on August 1, 8, and 15, where participants can learn about the two-year Lauder Institute’s MA International Studies joint degree program, followed by a live Q&A.
Prospective students planning to apply to Wharton can benefit from the MBA Application Tips and Q&A sessions on August 1, 13, 23, and 28, which offer valuable insights from the Admissions Committee.
Virtual Coffee Chats are scheduled on August 2, 5, 9, 12, 13, and 17, where prospective students can join current students to hear about their Wharton MBA experiences and the admissions process.
In-Person Events
In-person events include the Wharton Full-Time and Executive MBA Alumni Panel & Networking Sessions in Miami (August 1), Los Angeles (August 8), Washington D.C. (August 15), New York City (August 20), and San Diego (August 22). These sessions will provide an overview of the MBA programs and feature Q&A segments with the MBA Admission staff.
JD/MBA Program
For those interested in the JD/MBA program, meet and greets are scheduled in Chicago (August 1) and New York City (August 27) to discuss academics, admissions, and student life.
Alumni Hosted Events
Additionally, an Alumni Led Coffee Chat on August 6 will be hosted by WG’23 Alejandra Castano, providing an opportunity to network with alumni.
Diversity Event
The Inclusive Insights: Personalized Guidance sessions with Wharton's diversity admissions officers, Quinton and Daniel, will take place weekly on August 6, 13, 20, and 27, allowing informal discussions about the MBA experience and life in Philadelphia.
On August 7, the Top Business Schools Discuss: Diversity and Inclusion virtual session hosted by Chicago Booth will feature several top MBA programs, providing prospective students with insights into diversity and inclusion within MBA programs.
Women MBA Applicants
The 2024 Forté MBA Forum, aimed at empowering women at all career stages, will take place in Washington D.C. on August 12 and in New York City on August 27-28, featuring admissions reps from top business schools and successful MBA alumnae.
Lauder Applicants
Further virtual sessions include the Lauder Inclusive Insights webinars on August 13 and 22, the JD/MBA Application Tips & Ask Adcom session on August 14, and the ROMBA Prospective MBA Admissions Summit on August 21, which focuses on the LGBTQ+ community and includes networking opportunities and panels with admissions officers.
