UNC 2-Year Full-time MBA Class Profile
The incentives seemed to have worked as the Class of 2025 despite a 30% smaller class size compared to the previous year and a female percentage below the 40-45% benchmark. The class attracted a majority of male American candidates and underrepresented US communities (26%).
GMAT is below the 700 psychological safety mark, and the GPA is also at an easier 3.43 – signs of 20-30 ranked schools. The experience of 5 years, lower than the 5.75 in the previous year, is indicative of the kind of benchmarked post-MBA salary that the employers are willing to offer. The older the class, the better the compensation that the school needs to provide to get a higher score for Alumni satisfaction – a ranking factor that has some influence in a couple of ranking publications.
The notable shift is seen in international representation, with the Class of 2025 having a higher international percentage at 34%, in contrast to the 26% of the Class of 2024.

UNC Full-time MBA Fee
For North Carolina residents, the annual tuition and mandatory fees come to $53,552, while out-of-state students pay $71,364. On top of that, there are additional expenses like books, food, health insurance, and housing that bring the total cost for residents to $83,311 and for non-residents to $101,123 per year. The close to $20,000 difference is a uniquely UNC value proposition, as typically, the difference is in the $10,000 to $12,000 range.
