Tuck MBA - Class Profile and Total Fees

In the first part of the Tuck MBA analysis, we cover the Full-time MBA Class profile and the total fees.

Tuck MBA Class Profile

The 297 class size for the class of 2025 is an improvement of 10 compared to the previous year, an anomaly among declining class sizes seen in M7 and T20 MBA programs. The international percentage of 33% (10% drop) was the biggest casualty where Tuck had to balance the women (44%) and US minorities (32%) this year. Despite the effort, the percentage of women has fallen by 1% - a wider declining trend for the 2025 class in US MBA programs. Despite a lower international percentage, the nationalities represented increased from 38 to 40 this year. Asian candidates found the most representation (22%) – a 1% improvement compared to the previous year. European and Latin American candidates have consistently been in the 7-8% range, while Africans were in the 4-5% range over the past three years.

Tuck has relaxed the GRE and GPA requirements by one point and .03 points, respectively. GPA has fallen behind the 3.5 that is typical of Top 10 MBA programs. The work experience data was not published for this year but based on previous years’ trends – over 5 years of experience is the benchmark for Tuck.

Tuck Pre-MBA Undergraduate Degree

Tuck is the handful of schools remaining among the top 10 that has continued to find high Humanities/Arts/Social Sciences representation for its MBA class (40%) while also maintaining a consistent 28% representation from Business. STEM has been on a decline (-5%) compared to the previous year, reflecting a larger trend of attracting candidates with goals to enter consulting, general management, and marketing.
 

Tuck Pre-MBA Industry

The financial services representation has increased in the Pre-MBA industry while Consulting has declined – reflecting a larger slowdown that has finally caught up with the Management Consulting industry – an extension of the slowdown in digitization and healthcare service demand that peaked in the previous 2 years. The career switchers have been mostly from Non-profits, the government, and technology – each trying to move to the business side of the action.

Tuck Full-time MBA Total fees

The tuition fee has remained the same for the 2025 class at $77,520. The increases have been around inflationary factors – housing and living expenses.
Tuck's first-year MBA program charge is $123,701, which includes tuition of $77,520, program fees of $4,593, accommodation, board, and personal expenses of $33,925, textbooks and photocopies of $1,500, and health insurance of $4,163. This fee applies to off-campus students in the Class of 2025. The cost difference between on-campus and off-campus students is related to housing and incidental charges.

The program cost includes expenses associated with the MBA program, such as course materials, transcripts, student activities, information technology services, infrastructure support, a health access fee, and an administrative fee for first-year students only. Some of these charges appear separately on students' D-Pay bills.
