Top 15 LBS MBA Scholarships (2023)

The most competitive scholarship with the largest number of awards was the London Business School Fund Scholarships that offered up to £109,700 (Full Tuition Fee). The scholarship chooses candidates for academic excellence (3.5+ GPA and GMAT 700+), professional achievements (top 10 percentile) and potential to be an all-around contributor at London Business School.

London Business School offers over 30 scholarships on financial need, merit, nationality, and industry.

Merit

LBS leads when it comes to merit-based scholarships. For the latest class, 13 scholarships were awarded, and the amount ranged from £20,000 to Full tuition fee.

Two of the most awarded amount was half the tuition fee for the first year and £20,000.

The most competitive scholarship with the largest number of awards was the London Business School Fund Scholarships that offered up to £78,500 (Full Tuition Fee). The scholarship chooses candidates for academic excellence (3.5+ GPA and GMAT 700+), professional achievements (top 10 percentile) and potential to be an all-around contributor at London Business School.

SARI Foundation Trust Scholarship is the only other scholarship where the entire tuition fee is compensated.

Women

To bridge the gap between women (37%) and men (63%) applicants, the LBS MBA team has introduced 7 scholarships ranging from £20,000 to full tuition fee. The scholarship amount starts at £20,000 and reaches £50,000 for Muna Al Gurg Scholarship, which is awarded for Female candidates from the middle east. The most common denomination for LBS MBA female candidates all ranged above £35,000+ with Forte Foundation Fellowships leading in the numbers game, awarding each candidate up to £37,550.

Sectors

Another interesting aspect at London Business School is the scholarships granted based on the sector with the award encouraging the candidates to continue in Healthcare, Luxury, Energy, Technology, Consulting, and Entrepreneurship. Half the Tuition Fee was the most common award for sector-wise scholarships with candidates from Engineering and Consulting ranking a few steps below the contemporaries from Healthcare, Luxury, and Energy at £20,000 and £30,000 respectively.

Nationality

For London Business School Full-time MBA, there wasn't any particular scholarship that was exclusively offered based on nationality. They were often combined with criteria in Gender, Social Enterprise or the military.

Entrepreneurship

London Business School Entrepreneurship Scholarship valued at Half the Tuition Fee was the only scholarship awarded to candidates with a history in Entrepreneurship or an interest in the field. The awardee is expected to contribute on all the vital areas for the London Business School's Entrepreneurship Club.

Military

The London Business School UK Military Scholarship is the only award that due to obvious logistical and tenure limitation encourages candidates from the military background to switch to any suitable industry. However, candidates are expected to play an active role in the Military club at London Business School.
