In August 2024, Stanford GSB is hosting a total of 20 events, comprising 12 virtual events and 8 in-person events.
Virtual Events
The virtual events begin on August 1st with "Application Week: Letters of Recommendation - Tips for Applicants and Recommenders," where Wil Torres, Director of Outreach, will guide applicants and recommenders through the recommendation letter process. On August 2nd, "Application Week: Best Foot Forward - Stepping into Your Power" will cover strategies for navigating the application journey.
Sector-Specific Virtual Events – Retail, Consumer Products and Media/Arts/ Entertainment
Stanford GSB also offers sector-specific virtual sessions, including "Your Career in Retail and Consumer Products" on August 5th and "Your Career in Arts, Media, and Entertainment" on August 13th, both hosted by GSB admissions officers featuring alumni from respective industries.
Global Tours - Australia and New Zealand, South Asia, Middle East and North Africa
For those interested in global perspectives, "The GSB Global Community" series offers sessions focusing on regions such as Australia and New Zealand (August 8th), South Asia (August 15th), Middle East and North Africa (August 19th). These sessions allow prospective students to connect with current students and alumni from these regions.
DEI – The Consortium
Other notable virtual events include "Top Business Schools Discuss: Diversity and Inclusion" on August 7th, "Applying to the GSB through The Consortium" on August 20th, and two open Q&A sessions with MBA admissions officers on August 23rd and August 29th.
In-Person Events
In-person events are spread across various cities globally. MBA information sessions will be held in Salt Lake City (August 1st), Seattle (August 2nd), Los Angeles (August 20th), Tokyo (August 21st), Seoul (August 22nd), Beijing (August 23rd), Shanghai (August 26th), and Hong Kong (August 27th). These sessions will cover the MBA program details, admission process, and financial aid, providing ample opportunity for participants to ask questions directly to the Stanford MBA admissions officers.
