Kellogg 2-year MBA Salary by Industry & Function (2022)

The recruiters from Consumer-Packaged Goods moved from the 1-year MBA to the 2-year MBA, primarily to save costs, while the decline in Technology hiring has been universal across all Kellogg MBA programs. The median salary for the Consulting industry remained at $175,000, while for Finance, Kellogg was $5,000 below the M7 schools. Technology’s base salary also couldn’t reach $150,000.  A clear salary demarcation is building among M7 schools.

Kellogg 2-year MBA Salary by Industry (2022)

The Consulting industry had a significant growth in the hiring rate, which rose from 37% to 40%, higher than that of the peer school, Columbia. Financial Services (16%) and Technology (21%), together with consulting, make the top trio. However, there was a 1% decline in the Financial services hiring rate and a 5% decrease in the Technology Industry. Healthcare industry hiring rates declined by 2%, whereas CPG increased by 2%.

Consulting and Financial Services had the highest median base salary but since Financial services offered the highest sign-on bonus, the total wage secured by Financial Services is the highest - $210,000.

Kellogg 2-year MBA Salary by Function (2022)

Consulting (40%), Finance/Accounting (19%), and Marketing Sales (12%) serve as the top three functions of the Kellogg 2-Year Full-Time MBA program. Consulting and Marketing observed growth of 3% and 1% in hiring rates. However, Corporate Strategy/Strategic Planning and General Management Function show a 2% and 3% loss in hiring rates, respectively.

Consulting Functions received the highest median base as well as Total salary. But Financing/Accounting and Technology functions secured one of the highest median sign-on bonuses.

Kellogg 1-year MBA Salary by Locations (2022)

95% of the Kellogg MBA grads were placed in the United States, with a maximum of 30% in the West region. 31% were placed in Midwest, whereas 17% secured a job in the Northeast.

Out of 5% International placements, 2.5% as a majority were concentrated in Asia, with other regions such as Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and South America securing equal placements of 0.2% each. The median base salary for students placed in international regions is $1,35,582, whereas $165,000 for the United States. The Midwest, South, and Southwest secured the highest median base salary, which is $175,000.

Accenture, Bain and Company, The Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, EY, and McKinsey & Company are the top consulting firms hiring 2-Year Full-time MBA grads of the Kellogg MBA Program. The other leading firms, Amazon, Google, Meta, and VISA Inc., belong to the Technology firm. Top Financial firms were Bank of America, JP Morgan, and Lincoln International LLC.

Kellogg 2-year MBA Career Service Team - Effectiveness (2022)

The majority (80%) of the students, acquired employment through school-facilitated activities. Out of all the school-facilitated facilities, Kellogg Summer's employer with 40% is the most effective way for securing employment. 14% of the total job opportunities were grabbed through on-campus interviews. The total share of students facilitated jobs was 20%, out of which Off-Campus interviews (8%) and External Job Boards (5%) were the most valuable sources.
