In August 2025, Harvard Business School (HBS) is hosting a total of 17 MBA-related events, comprising 10 virtual sessions and 7 in-person events across various locations.
In-Person Events
The in-person events include the MBA Program Open House held on August 1, 8, 15, and 22 at the HBS campus, offering campus tours and insights into the MBA experience. International information sessions will be held in São Paulo on August 11, Buenos Aires on August 13, and Santiago on August 14, providing local prospective students the opportunity to meet admissions representatives and alumni and learn more about the program.

It is easy to comment, but it is tough to structure the essay from the perspective of the applicant and turn the essay into a winning application essay.

A big part of editing and guiding applicants is in educating them about the culture of the school
Some schools have very ‘specific’ traits that they are looking for in an applicant.
If you don’t highlight them and lean towards general leadership or cultural narratives, the essay won’t work.

Virtual Events
The virtual events begin with a session on August 4, titled “HBS & HLS JD/MBA: Prepare to Lead in Law, Business, and Beyond,” which introduces the JD/MBA joint degree.
On August 5, a general Admissions Overview and Q&A session provides a concise introduction to the MBA program, followed by a session on August 6 on HBS & HKS Joint Degree Paths, exploring the MBA/MPP and MBA/MPA-ID tracks.
August 8 features “Top Business Schools Present: Application Tips,” a collaborative panel including HBS and other top MBA programs.
On August 11, HBS will host “Applying to HBS: Who Are We Looking For?” to clarify applicant evaluation.
Another focused session, “Navigating Joint Degree Application,” takes place on August 12, guiding interdisciplinary candidates.

August 13 offers advice for reapplicants through “Reapplying with Confidence,” while on August 14, “Busting Admissions Myths” helps demystify the process.
A dedicated MS/MBA “Ask Me Anything” will be held on August 20, followed by a 2+2 Program Information Session on August 21 for deferred applicants.
