Berkeley Haas MBA Class Profile (2024 Class) (Analysis)

The UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, also like Ross, didn’t publish the application volume that resulted in the enrolment of 247 students for its 2024 class. The median GMAT score for the latest class remained a strong 730, while GPA was also above the 3.6 range – both higher and comparable to M7 schools.  

The standout factor for the Haas Full-time MBA was the percentage of women and international students. 41% of the MBA class were international, represented by 45 countries – up from 37% last year, and women in the class reached 46% - a 9% increase. Both indicate a return to pre-pandemic levels in class representation for the MBA class.

Engineering holds the top spot for undergraduate degrees with a 23 percent share. 15% had an economics degree, and the same percentage studied social sciences. 13% of students majored in business or commerce, while only 6% had a Finance major.

On average, Haas MBAs have 5.6 years of professional experience. Twenty-three percent of the class has a history in consulting. 18 percent have a background in financial services, and 13 percent have a background in high-tech/electronics. Nine percent of the class are employed in the health, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries, and six percent work for non-profit organizations.
