GMAT Women test takers growing at 36% - A threat to men applicants?


According to GMAC.com, the number of women test takers is growing at the rate of 36% vs. 34% for men. This trend is dominant in Asia and Eastern Europe. The lowest female GMAT test takers seem to be in India (24%). Other interesting trends include:

1) US had a 40% increase in applicants for the <25 age group
2) In 2009, US minorities accounted for more than 40,000 of the 130,000 US applicants
3) Full-time one-year MBA program saw a 70% increase in applicants
