Darden School Of Business - Merit Scholarships for International Students/US Students/Fellowship/Loan

P.S:

1) Merit-based scholarships awarded early in the admissions process based on application and interview.
2) Apply at the earliest
3) Merit-based scholarship decisions are made by the First Year Scholarship Committee
4) Announcements of merit scholarships are mailed to recipients on the last day for admissions notifications, (i.e. Round 1, January 28, 2010).

Advantages of Applying by Round 1

1) Round 1 allows applicants to secure their offer of admission to Darden by January 28, 2010. 
2) Applicants will automatically compete for over 70 two-year scholarships ranging from one-third to full tuition per year.

Darden Jefferson Fellowships

Amount:cost-of-attendance including full-tuition, living expenses, books, and research stipend

Criteria:

1) Possess superior intelligence and academic excellence
2) Demonstrate leadership, citizenship, integrity and honor

Batten Scholarships

No of Awards:10

Batten Entrepreneurial Scholarships

Amount:Full-tuition

Criteria:

1) Demonstrate experience in past entrepreneurial ventures/an entrepreneurial spirit
2) Strong leadership skills
3) Drive for innovation

Batten Technology Scholarships

Amount: Full tuition

Criteria:

1) Demonstrate exemplary experience within the high-tech industries
Industries could include, but not limited to, hardware, software, medical devices, and communications.

Batten Innovation Scholarships

Amount:Full tuition

Criteria:

1) Candidates instrumental in implementing innovations
2) Candidates preferably engineers in manufacturing or research scientists in medical devices 
3) Desire to take leadership responsibility within innovative fields of business.

DAAD Scholarship

No of Awards: 2

Amount: 10,200EUR per academic year

Criteria:

1) Applications must be made separately to the DAAD Scholarship Program and Darden Admissions.

James Su-Ting and Jeanette Wang CHENG Scholarship

Amount:Half tuition

Criteria:

1) Best and brightest students from East Asia
2) Scholarship renewed in second year if good academic standing (min. 3.0 GPA).  
3) First preference to students from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau, or Singapore

Darden China Scholarship

Amount:$4,500

Criteria:

1) Awarded to a top native Chinese candidate

Darden-Israeli Student Transition Grant

Amount:$3,000

Criteria:

1.  Israeli citizenship, preferably currently living in Israel;
2.  Prior education at an Israeli university;
3.  Service in the Israeli military; and
4.  Strong work experience, community service and other extracurricular activities, preferably in Israel or with an Israeli company/organization.

IRC International Scholarship

Amount: Full tuition

Criteria:


1) Merit-based
2) International student
3) Student entering in even-numbered years.

Marion M. and Samuel T. Pendleton Fellowship

Amount: Full tuition

Criteria:


1) Citizens of Australia, Canada, the Republic of Ireland, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom including England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. 
2) Demonstrate high leadership and academic qualities and show a seriousness of purpose to serve his/her home country in the public or private sector
3) Consider citizens from other British commonwealth countries in case of non-availability of citizens from above mentioned countries.
