In August 2024, the Duke Fuqua MBA program is hosting a total of 40 events, consisting of 35 in-person and 5 virtual sessions. These events offer prospective students various opportunities to engage with the Fuqua community, learn about the MBA program, and gain insights into the admissions process.
Virtual Events
The virtual events include sessions such as the "Daytime MBA Reapplicant Webinar" on August 13, where reapplicants receive guidance on the reapplication process, and a series of webinars focused on specific application components. These include "Evaluating Academic Excellence - Transcript Review and Test Scores" on August 15, "Crafting Your Personal Story - Essays and Community Impact" on August 27, and "Assessing Professional Impact - Work Experience and Recommendations" on August 29.
In-Person Events in China
The in-person events kick off on August 9 with the "Duke Daytime MBA Information Session" in Shenzhen, followed by similar sessions in Chengdu on August 11.
Women Applicants
The "Forté MBA Forum," aimed at empowering women in their MBA journey, will be held across various cities, including Washington, DC (August 12), Chicago (August 13), Atlanta (August 14), Boston (August 15), Los Angeles (August 19), Seattle (August 21), San Francisco (August 22), Toronto (August 26), New York City (August 27-28), Atlanta (August 28), Dallas (August 29), and Philadelphia (August 30).
In-Person Events
Additionally, Duke Fuqua will participate in "The MBA Tour" and "SEED Business School Festival" events in several locations, including Mexico City, Monterrey, Lagos, Abuja, Accra, Nairobi, Johannesburg, and more, providing prospective students with opportunities to meet admissions representatives and learn more about the program.
Other notable in-person events include "Diverse Perspectives" sessions in Chicago (August 14) and Durham (August 22), and "Boots2B-School" networking events in Denver (August 23) and San Diego (August 23), designed for military veterans transitioning to civilian careers. "MBA Admissions Interview Workshops" are scheduled for New York City (August 26), Washington, DC (August 27), and Atlanta (August 28), where participants can receive interview preparation tips and practice common interview questions.
Coffee Chats in the US and Mexico
Throughout the month, several "Coffee Chat with Admissions" events will be held in various cities, including Chicago (August 14), Mexico City (August 15), Monterrey (August 20), New York City (August 27-28), Dallas (August 29), and Philadelphia (August 30), offering prospective students a chance to connect with Fuqua admissions staff in a more informal setting.
