These events are spread across various formats, such as coffee chats, information sessions, and major MBA forums, providing ample opportunities for prospective students to learn about Darden and connect with admissions representatives.
In-Person Events
The in-person events kick off on August 1st with "The MBA Tour Tokyo," followed by similar events in Seoul (August 3), Sao Paulo (August 8), Santiago (August 10), and several other international locations throughout the month.
Women Applicants
The Forté MBA Forums, which are a series of events aimed at empowering women at all career stages, will be held in multiple cities including Washington DC (August 12), Chicago (August 13), and New York (August 27-28).
Virtual Events
On the virtual side, "Full-Time MBA Virtual Coffee Chats" are scheduled throughout the month, starting on August 1st. These sessions, often led by Darden's Assistant Director of Admissions or other key figures, offer prospective students a chance to learn more about the MBA program, the application process, and specific opportunities for international students or those with military backgrounds. Notably, a session on August 14th features a chat with Senior Assistant Dean of Admissions, Dawna Clarke.
In addition to these, there are specialized virtual events like the "Information Session: 2024 Women's Symposium and Diversity Conference" on August 6th and "Top Business Schools Discuss: Diversity and Inclusion" on August 7th. These sessions are designed to give attendees a deeper understanding of Darden's commitment to diversity and inclusion, as well as details on unique programs like the dual degree with Johns Hopkins SAIS, which is discussed on August 13th.
Consortium MBA Applicants
The month also features a unique session on August 9th, "Office Hours" with Professor Sasa Zorc, offering a glimpse into the academic environment at Darden and several Consortium MBA Application Preparation Seminars (MAPS) aimed at enhancing diversity in business education.
