The skills that a writer/editor brings to the table are different from what a former admissions officer or a consultant who has limited writing skills brings

As F1GMAT’s Lead Consultant and Essay Specialist, I will help you structure the essay by:

1)  Incorporating your Personal Brand

I will help you find unique life experiences that would differentiate you from the highly competitive Columbia MBA application pool.

2)  Including Storytelling elements

I have developed a keen sense of storytelling from over a decade and a half of editing essays and writing essay examples for F1GMAT’s Essay Guides.

The skills that a writer/editor brings to the table are different from what a former admissions officer or a consultant who has limited writing skills brings

It is easy to comment, but it is tough to structure the essay from the perspective of the applicant and turn the essay into a winning application essay.

3) Aligning with the Culture of the School

A big part of editing and guiding applicants is in educating them about the culture of the school

Some schools have very ‘specific’ traits that they are looking for in an applicant.

If you don’t highlight them and lean towards general leadership or cultural narratives, the essay won’t work.

I will guide you through the writing process.

I will also iteratively edit the essays without losing your original voice.

In-Person Events

The in-person events span multiple cities and formats. MBA Campus Visits in Manhattanville take place on July 7, 10, 10 (second session), 21, and 24, allowing candidates to engage with admissions staff and current students.

Across the country, Columbia hosts Small Group Conversations over breakfast with the Associate Director of Admissions on July 9 in Austin and Washington D.C.; July 11 in Dallas; July 14 and 15 in San Diego; July 16 and 17 in Seattle; July 22 and 23 in Chicago; July 23 in Boston; July 25 in Miami. Additionally, Prospect Breakfasts are scheduled on July 10 in Austin; July 11 in Dallas; and July 24 in Chicago, offering informal discussions with admissions staff.

Columbia’s The MBA Tour: New York City happens on July 12, and Top Business Schools Present multi-school panels take place on July 9 in Austin; July 10 in Dallas; July 15 in San Diego; July 16 in Seattle; and July 17 in Portland.
