With 5% of the Stanford MBA Class opting for multiple academic disciplines along with the MBA program, dual and joint degree programs are popular options for the entering class.
For a Joint Degree program, the credit from a course will be accounted for both degrees.
A joint degree program is awarded along with Stanford MBA, with just one restriction – you can’t earn more than one joint degree program that includes MA Education, MPP, MS in Computer Science, MS in Electrical Engineering, and MS in Environment and Resources.
The restriction of pursuing one additional degree remains the same for a Dual Degree program. Also, the credit from a course is only applicable to one degree.
For a Dual Degree, MA in International Policy Studies and MD are two courses offered along with the MBA program.
What are the dual degree programs offered outside the Stanford Campus?
For students who want to pursue a degree outside the Stanford campus, some of the popular options are Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) MPA, MPA-ID or MPP, Harvard Medical School (HMS) MD, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) MA, Princeton Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs (WW) MPA, Yale Law School (YLS) JD, and Yale Medical School (YMS) MD.
