UCLA Anderson Master of Science in Business Analytics - Curriculum

UCLA Anderson Master’s in Business Analytics is a one-year Master’s program divided into 5 terms. These five terms include 21 courses, one Summer Internship program, Capstone Project, and Final Project Presentation for Graduation.

Students also get to experience the Career Curriculum. Students develop essential abilities in data storytelling, virtual and in-person presenting skills, technical and case interviews, client management, and much more throughout the 10-week Career Curriculum intensive taught by guest professors and our Director of Career Services.

Capstone Analytics Project

Candidates for the MSBA degree have the chance to use the knowledge they have learned in their classroom to address practical, real-world business analytics issues through the Applied Analytics Project (AAP). Students can improve their communication skills, demonstrate their understanding of business analytics, and delve further into an area of interest outside of the classroom by working with a corporate customer. 4 students are on each Team for the project. Students must apply online to be a part of the capstone project, and the selection committee will then choose which students are suitable for the program based on their project.

UCLA Anderson Master of Science in Business Analytics Application Process – Deadlines, Essays, Interviews

Applicants need to submit an online application to get admission to UCLA Anderson Masters in Business Analytics Course. Following are the requirements to fill up the online application form.

1. Applicants must take tests such as GMAT/GRE and upload their marks in the online application form.
2. TOEFL/IELTS tests are compulsory for International Applicants.
3. Evidence of Computer Programming: Preferably in SQL, Python, R programming, C++, and with experience using computers for administration and computation.
4. Academic Records: The transcript copies you send with your application help the UCLA Anderson MSBA Admissions Committee make a preliminary assessment of your academic credentials.
5. Work History: An updated Resume must be submitted.
6. Letter of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation are advised, and they should be written by people who can assess your managerial potential and quantitative skills.
7. Required Essay: Three essays must be submitted along with the online application for the MSBA program. The essays on candidates' applications show off their writing skills and allow the admissions committee to get to know the applicants better as people.
8. Essay Question: Business analytics requires a combination of mathematical/quantitative abilities and creative thinking. Describe a project you worked on, either as a student or professional that demonstrates your analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Tell us why this project was interesting to you. (Maximum 750 words)
9. Applicants need to submit an application Fee of $200.

Deadlines: Since September 2022, applicants for the entering Class of 2024, which will start in the fall of 2023, have been allowed to submit their applications. Three rounds/deadlines separate the application period.
