MIT Sloan provides a 2-Year Full-time MBA program, Joint MBA programs, a 20-Months Executive MBA program and various executive certificate, PHD and Masters programs. Established in 1914, as Course 15 in the MIT Department of Economics and Statistics, MIT Sloan School of Management has come a long way establishing itself as a pioneer in Executive MBA program. UCLA MBA is a two year MBA program with a difference. Unlike other Business Schools where you have to mandatorily complete the core courses, Anderson allows students to customize the core curriculum according to their post-MBA goals.

UCLA MBA program focus is on four key elements: Leadership and Communication Skills, Building strong Business fundamentals, developing expertise in a chosen area and effective experiential learning.

Leadership and Communication Skills: The focus on leadership development is evident with the initial self-assessment where UCLA MBA students are asked to assess their leadership strengths and weaknesses. Once the students have a clear idea on where they stand, a comprehensive plan is created to overcome the weaknesses. Communication is also given equal importance with the Management Communications Course, which spans over two quarters.

Business Fundamentals: The customized core curriculum allows UCLA MBA students to complete the essential courses according to their post-MBA goals. Students are guided to choose core courses based on their internship plan. If the student is interested in consulting/marketing, core courses required to build knowledge in the subject are chosen by the student.

After the core courses, in the fall quarters, students are given the choice to select marketing or finance. The Purdue Full-time MBA at Krannert School of Management offers eight modules. Each module spans 8 weeks. Modules one to three are part of the core curriculum. The courses included in the Core Curriculum are: Leadership and Ethics, Accounting for Managers, Business Analytics, Managerial Communication Skills, Organizational Behaviour, Microeconomics, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Strategic Management, Operations Management and Management of Information Systems. In 1957 Georges Doriot, founder of INSEAD, had an extraordinary vision – to set up a business school in Europe that would be international, independent, diverse, entrepreneurial and close to business.

INSEAD’s first MBA class in 1959 had 52 graduates.
